Initial Agreement Stage

The first step takes around a month, and this involves an investor agreeing with a new commercial operation in the United States. Money must be invested directly into the American business in a way that meets the requirements of the EB-5 visa.

This visa requires that money be “at risk,” meaning your presence in the United States is an important part of an investment you make in the overseas business.

Preparing Petition for Review

Sometime between three and six months after your application is successful, you’ll receive your conditional Green Card.

This is valid for two years and is conditional in that it will require you to maintain your investment in the American business after two years if you are to be eligible to remain in the United States any further.

Your conditional Green Card allows you to reside in the United States legally, on a full-time basis, for up to two years.

I-829 Petition

Two years after entering the United States, and assuming your investment in the American business continues, you will be eligible to submit an I-829 petition. This petition will remove your conditional resident status, granting you permission to permanently reside in the United States and continue your business operations.

Green Card

Once your paperwork is successfully handled and filed, you will receive a permanent Green Card. This Green Card will allow you to stay and work in the United States permanently, whether you continue your investment operations or not.

Naturalization

After five years of being a permanent resident and investing in the United States, you (the investor) and your family will be able to submit an N-400 naturalization application. We’ll help you file the appropriate paperwork, ensuring the process is smooth and simple.

At the end of this process, you and your family will become legal US citizens, and be able to live and work in the United States for the rest of your life.
